A Place of
Strength,
Trust,
& Healing
for Those Who Serve
Sworn Refuge provides specialized mental health and substance use treatment for first responders and veterans. Our program is designed by clinicians who understand the realities of service, trauma exposure, and the unique culture of these professions.
The Meaning of Sworn Refuge
The name Sworn Refuge reflects our mission.
Those who swear an oath to protect their communities often carry unseen burdens. Sworn Refuge exists to provide a place where those individuals can step out of the role of protector and receive support themselves.
It is a place of strength, trust, and restoration.
Our Mission
Sworn Refuge was created to provide a dedicated place for first responders and veterans to receive high-quality mental health and substance use treatment from clinicians who understand the realities of service.
We believe that healing is possible when treatment is grounded in clinical expertise, cultural understanding, and trust.
Our goal is to provide care that respects the strength, resilience, and commitment of those who serve while offering the support needed to address trauma, stress, and addiction.
Our Values
Trust and Confidentiality
We understand that trust is essential when seeking support. We are committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of every individual who walks through our doors.
Service-Informed Care
Our work is grounded in an understanding of the culture, demands, and realities of military and first responder professions.
Clinical Excellence
We provide evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment delivered by experienced clinicians dedicated to high standards of care.
Respect and Integrity
We approach every individual with respect, recognizing the strength, commitment, and sacrifices inherent in a life of service.
Strength Through Connection
Healing often occurs in connection with others. We foster an environment where individuals can find support, understanding, and community.
Resilience and Growth
We believe recovery is not only possible, but that individuals can emerge from difficult experiences with renewed strength, purpose, and direction.
Who We Serve
We specialize in working with individuals in service professions: law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, dispatchers, corrections officers, active military service members and veterans. We understand the culture of service, the demands of the job, and the importance of trust and confidentiality in treatment.
